Every day this month I’ll post a Gratefulness or Gratitude prompt. I’d really enjoy hearing your input on this prompt as well in the comments below. Today’s prompt:I’m somehow drawn to challenges. Song challenges, writing challenges, Sims challenges, just about any challenge. While tossing around blog ideas with my partner in crime the idea to do a monthly challenge came up. I was hesitant to move this to the blog but then tossed it up and said ‘why not?’. Here you have it, my first 30 Day Challenge.

Words. That’s all I got is words. Words are something that from time to time I have the ability to realign into something that makes complete sense and conveys a message more than just words.  Of course it is more often that I can’t begin to find the words to convey my thoughts or even worse I can’t even convey thoughts to begin to find words.  Words are part of writing and writing is something I’ve been invested in on and off throughout my decades on earth.  The need to put words together in order to share meaning with other people.  You may sit there wondering how words and by extension writing is a personal trait or characteristic but to me it just works.  Writing is part of who I am.  That makes it fit the bill today.

Your turn!  Share a personal trait or characteristic you are grateful for in the comments below.

BOOK REVIEW: The Character Builder’s Bible by Agnes and Salem de Bezenac

Before we even talk about the stories in the book, those illustrations!  Oh my grits and gravy they are precious and engaging and amazing and I fell in love with this book through the illustrations.  The rest of it all helped as well but good gravy yes.  I feel like the quality of the art invites the child into the stories and intended truths that are portrayed, giving them access to dig deeper as well.  Not only were they precious and inviting but the cultural diversity in each picture also invited deeper understanding and another way to share with a child means to embrace the character traits found in this book, especially when not everyone lives in a culturally diverse location.  Small farming towns in the Midwest aren’t known to really have a great sense of diversity. I appreciated that the table of contents was broken down by old and […]

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners. To take part, you simply choose a random book from your TBR and show it off. Don’t forget to check out her blog and link back to Lauren’s Page Turners. Here’s yet another gem from my Beth Moore download spree a couple of years ago that I have yet to move to the currently reading or read list.  Here’s to hoping putting it here will speed up that process! Just as Mary treasured her memories as the mother of Jesus and pondered them in her heart, this book celebrates treasured moments in the life of every woman, wife, and mother. Told from a fresh, personal perspective, these stories and poems form a warm, inspiring collection of remembrances of children,Christmas, marriage, trials, friendship, the seasons, grace, and above all, God’s love for us. Things Pondered proves Beth Moore not only […]
