Reflections is a weekly meme hosted by Kristin of A Simply Enchanted Life and Fizzy of Fizzy Pop Collection. Every Sunday we will dig deeper in our recent reads to explore the real-life lessons within the pages. Reading the book yourself is not necessary to participate. If you would like to host your own reflection, you’re welcome to copy and paste this introduction, with the link to our pages. You may use our current or prior reflections or come up with your own.

In ‘Words From the Heart‘ by Kathleen Fuller Noah,Ivy, and Cevilla all had to learn how to put their faith and trust completely in God. Is this something you struggle with? What helps you during those times of doubt?
Trust is hard. I don’t care who you are or what your backstory is, trust is hard. I don’t care if it’s your best friend, your mother, the scary guy down the street, or God; trust is hard. I mean, if you are honest, sometimes it’s hard to trust yourself. When you figure in emotions how much can you trust that the judgements and decisions you are making are based on reality and not in the heat of emotion? Trust is hard sometimes. That being said, I am a list person. Pros/Cons, stuff to do, why/why not, et al. Lists help me to lay out the best path forward regardless of what I’m dealing with. Lists even help me focus when it comes to faith and God. Lists help with placing that trust in Him. Lists help me know that the choices I’m making are the right ones and not the heat of the moment emotions raging decisions. Lists help me take what I hear from God and use it in a way that both propels me forward and also glorifies him. Lists help me place that trust because there is my list and His list.
Your turn! Is placing faith and trust in God hard for you (even sometimes)? hat helps you during those times of doubt? Share in the comments below.
